When I was in 1st grade, I begged my Dad to let me play his new electric bass. Once I played my first notes, I knew I was hooked. I started practicing more seriously in 2nd grade when COVID started, and soon I was playing songs by great soul and funk artists, and dancing while playing. I love to have jam sessions and create music with my Dad @grumpyclay who plays the alto saxophone. 

Right now, I am enjoying practicing and learning new tunes, playing gigs around my hometown, and sharing my videos on Instagram. My little sister Mabel @mabelondrums is in 3rd grade, and recently started playing the drums. We’ve had so much fun playing songs together. 

Among the many bassists that inspire me are: Laura Lee from Khruangbin, Blu DeTiger, and Karina Rykman - and I’ve had the chance to meet them all! I love playing Stevie Wonder, Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, Khruangbin, Taylor Swift, and so many other great musicians.
